Published in April 2016 by De Boeck Supérieur, this 496-page book is the masterly synthesis of forty years of research, teaching and clinical practice by Guy Postiaux. It proposes a new paradigm for respiratory physiotherapy that challenges conventional techniques and establishes, on rigorous scientific foundations, an entirely renewed approach for infants, children and adults.

The methodological and clinical approach developed in this book demonstrates the priority and innovative nature of deep-lung physiotherapy, based on the quantified signals of lung auscultation. Drawing on the specific mechanical behaviour of the deep lung and the pathophysiology of the distal airways, Guy Postiaux proposes an "inspiratory, slow, resisted, positional" physiotherapy validated by stethacoustic, ultrasound and biochemical means.

Fisioterapia Respiratória Em Pediatria (Artmed Editora, Porto Alegre, 2003) became a university reference throughout Brazil. These editions explain the method's influence today in Latin America and Brazil — where Stéphane Otto speaks regularly (SIFR, Florianópolis 2022, Natal 2026).
